Kiniesha L. Hawkins is an innovative leader and community advocate devoted to not only developing and enhancing life skills and education for youth, but also empowering and providing resources for the young adult. She is the founder and director of UGirl Can, LLC. She provides educational and social services that creates productive habits of the mind as well as increases self-esteem, character, confidence, academic, and social success that empowers youth to become productive citizens in society. Her commitment to youth was the driving force behind more than a decade of service at various Prince George’s County Public Schools. As an educator, she accomplished her objective of promoting learning by creating detailed lesson plans aligned with the Voluntary State Curriculum and Common Core Standards. Additionally, Mrs. Hawkins employs diverse brain-based teaching techniques to ensure effective learning to all age groups and all types of learners. Her ability to analyze performance data in order to improve instruction results in positive outcomes in student achievement.
