UGIRL ACADEMY: UGIRL LEADS
Under our UGirl Academy, UGirl Leads programs are a wraparound leadership program divided into 4 phases designed to empower and inspire the young woman. This program provides the opportunity to develop and enhance academics, self-worth and social competence, while also obtaining the tools and discernibility necessary to engaging young women about issues of self-worth, ambitions, and goals, as well as urging dialogue that explores the many ways women are often regretful for whom they are naturally. Members are also encouraged to discover ways they will give back to our community. The uniqueness of this program utilizes a group, as well as a 1-on-1-advocacy/coaching model. The activities range from workshops and focus groups to social and cultural field trips.
PRINCESS TO Queen
The Princess to Queen program (Grades 2-5) is our character development program designed to build character, self-esteem and socialization skill in young girls. Girls will meet monthly to discover their character through reading, arts, and community service. By exploring their world and their place in it, our goal is that girls will develop a greater sense of purpose.
The sessions will focus on:
Social and Emotional Skills
Health & Wellness
The Junior Queens program (Grades 6-8) is a leadership program designed to empower and increase academic achievement, self-esteem, social competence, as well as reduce high-risk behaviors in pre-teen girls by providing quality, research based services.
